For the Chinese, this date is one of the lucky dates in the calendar because of its relation to the number “8” which for them signifies infinity. But as for the parishioners of Santa Rita de Cascia in Pampanga, this date marked the lasting union of the devout people of God in Santa Rita and her Holy Relic.

August 17 can truly be a special time to look back one year to that eventful day when the Relic of Saint Rita arrived right at the doorstep of the Santa Rita Parish. And now, to pay homage to our beloved Saint, the Church and the local government have prepared some activities to make the commemoration momentous:
