Hundreds of Riteñans responded to the call of the tambuli (blow horns) to join the celebration of the Palm Sunday last April 17, which also served as the opening of the Holy Week Celebration for the parish.

Two healing Masses were celebrated in the month of February in the commemoration of the feasts of St. Blaise and Our Lady of Lourdes last February 3 and 11, respectively, at the Sta. Rita Parish Church, which were both celebrated by the parish priest, Msgr. Gene Reyes.
On the feast of St. Blaise last February 3, two candles forming a cross were pressed on the necks of those who attended the Mass, especially those who had illnesses on their throats. This was supposedly how St. Blaise healed neck and throat problems.

Little voices and happy grooves made the liturgy livelier as young Riteñans celebrated the Feast of Sto. Niño last Jan 13, 2011, when a Children’s Mass was also held at 8:30 in the morning, since it was the 3rd Sunday of the month.
Pupils of the Santa Rita Catholic School (SRCS) were the animators who led the singing and dancing during the said Mass. Children and the children-at-heart sang joyfully the cheerful hymns throughout the celebration, making it an unusual Eucharist, especially that it was the Feast of the Child Jesus.

Start the year with a bang, literally, as the celebration of the New Year’s Eve Mass began on December 31, 2010 at 10:00 in the evening headed by Msgr. Gene Reyes, parish priest of Sta. Rita. The Mass was held at the church patio of Sta. Rita de Cascia Parish.

Sounding bells and singing choirs serenaded Riteñans, for the time has come for the celebration of the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ! For this, a nine-day celebration was done, from December 16-25, 2010, headed by Msgr. Gene Reyes, parish priest of Sta. Rita.
The parish was bright with lights as the parade of lanterns from the different barangays of Sta. Rita marched towards the church as the start of the Simbang Bengi on December 16, 2010 at 4 o’clock in the morning.
