The septinarium (seven days of prayer) for the Mater Dolorosa was held at the Santa Rita de Cascia Parish from 8-14 September 2011, every 5:30 p.m. on weekdays. In a way, each day represented one of the seven sorrows of the Blessed Virgin, with a different meditation after the general prayers. On the morning of 1 July 2011, Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and First Friday, new members of the Apostleship of Prayer (AP, Apostolado ning Panalangin in Capampangan) were inducted by the parish priest, Msgr. Gene Reyes at the Santa Rita de Cascia Parish Church during the 5:30 a.m. Mass.
The new members are active church-goers, many are members of church ministries. This year’s batch of inductees included several students, who are known to regularly hear First Friday Masses and join the Holy Hour.
